all i can say is.. this sounds wonderful :)

Step responds:

Steampianist! Yay. I'm really glad you think so. Thanks for the review!

ah this brings me back to my dark gaming (silent hill) days im a fan of akira yamaoka's works!

i love the arrangement and i love the fact that it loops. great work!

ForgottenDawn responds:

Thank you very much, Akira Yamaoka is surely a great influence in my atmospheric pieces. Silent Hill 2 is still one of my favorite horror games along with a great soundtrack.

.. writer's block is the worst i actually had one in the first week

anyway i really like the first half of the song its nostalgic to me
the melody is nice and the mood is relaxing.

the second half has it charms though its a bit disconnected from the first half but somehow it transitioned just fine.
its abrupt and abrupt isnt necessarily bad, mind you and sometimes an abrupt transition can work better than a flowing one :)
oh and i do love that egyptian theme in the second half so. 4 stars for me :) and good luck

johnfn responds:

Yeah this song is far from perfect. I wish I had more time to work on it, but what can you do?

Seems like I still have problems transitioning between moods...

Thanks for leaving a review.

you have a very warm voice. i love it. i wonder what color does the palette contain this time

the production is nice and the choirs compliments your voice nicely
i love the part 1:25 though i wished it turned more "festive" from here on out since african music is very rhythmic and energetic (just my opinion).

but that light-warm mood also has it charms so either way its a great track nice work!
im also given the impression of looking at the sunset in the saharan desert or something like that :)

headphoamz responds:

Aw yeah! Thanks Steam. May I also say, your piece is absolutely brilliant! I'm writing up thoughts for it now.
Ahh I'm happy you see a sun when you hear this. The color choices were burnt orange, black, hints of dark forest green, and yellow. At least, that's what popped up when I was writing this. Love how you mention color - do you see color when you write music too? Hit me up sometime and we'll have a deep conversation about all that junk. :)

the way the bass was introduced. i find it very creative

sounds great and production is great too (for me at least) but it woudlve been better with some melodic lines
you should work on this again when you get the chance :)

InvisibleObserver responds:

It will be fluffed out. I'm super super proud of the main bass synth. Gotta milk it. My NGADM songs will be worked into a long standing dance/orchestral/IDM work in progress album. The final work I intend on having songs flow from one to another playing up sonic contrasts between genres and mix styles. Hopefully in a mostly contiguous fashion. I can't claim to be good at album writing. :P

Amazing simply amazing one of my favorite tracks in this round

though i wish the brass was a bit more louder? and that ending is just great! i love it :D

SoundChris responds:

Thanks man! Glad you liked it. After the NGADM i will check out the mixing again. Thanks for your kind review!

i loved it
the dynamics are marvelous and i love that crescendo though i think it clipped a bit but this is just a minor nitpick. (not so good at nitpicking) and maybe adding some panning

this piece gave out different moods in such a short time and the way it transitions is flawless great job 5 stars

Benmode responds:

Thanks for listening, and thanks for the tips. I'm not sure if I even thought about panning much on this one haha.
I'm glad you liked the transitions, I was slightly worried they were a bit too random or abrupt or something.

with or without the synth at the beginning there wont be any significant change cos its not the highlight of the track the highlight would be the piano. what you can do is create a build-up towards another section like the one in 0:57 but this time with the piano melody and after that maybe modulate, introduce a new theme, or something hehe it depends on you.

awesome track keep working on it

Everratic responds:

Thankyou for the review!
That's a really good idea.

nice

Desiel391 responds:

thank you for the post

awesome work! and iPhone mic really? you did a great job mixing your voice and the piano!

MetalRenard responds:

Thanks man! I enjoy a challenge and I love mixing to bring out the potential in things. It's as much an art as anything and I enjoy doing it as much as writing music.
(Oh and it's wolftacular's voice, mine isn't quite that great... :P)
Thanks again for the review!
