the dryness works actually it really gives that industrial and mecha feel. I like this one but you know i would have loved to hear a little melodic hook ;)

you know i love the transitions here and the synths and the melody it truly is a dream like yet mechanical song but i feel the percussion needs work but overall its a great piece i can ignore the percussion because of those melodies

Blues and DnB very interesting and it works

The mixing is surprisingly solid and master is very clear good job although
The ending was sort of abrupt for me.

But still its a very cool piece good job

Cool! Glad you like it. Yep the end is a bit strange indeed. Just an experiment to break the track after I broke some beats. It´s good to hear that you like the mixing because that means I progress here. Actually it´s also a bit surprising because I thought I compressed to much and loaded too much stuff into the lower midths at the sax solo. But I wanted to give some drive into this part...

DUDE THIS IS AWESOME I LOVE IT! and those low frequency really created that stormy feel... and the orchestration as usual is wonderful

although i dont like those rain effect it was sort of unnecesary cos the piece and the orchestration already gives this stormy feel .. btw good job inserting Serenade of Waters and Sarias theme here

Haha I thought no Song of Storms arrangement would be complete without storm sound effects. Although I'm glad the orchestra was able to create a stormy vibe anyway. It was certainly something I tried to achieve. Nice job catching on the low frequencies too! I used a rumble texture from Omnisphere and it's cool that you noticed it.

Hey ok so first let me get to the good points of this song your production is great and that section 2:08 was very cool. i like the melody you did there and of course this blast of energy this song radiates and i like how each section is variated a bit. that is smart. it creates contrast

I really liked that chill mid section but for some reason and i dont know what is up with me while listening to this but i cant seem to enjoy those energetic parts. maybe it could have been better if the "chill section" was a little longer and that way when it builds up to those really energetic section it will be more effective and more in your face

And to be honest i find it not that catchy. but hey this is just my very "explicitly-explicit-opnionated-possibly-bordering-on-bias-opinion" :P

but seriously though overall its not a bad piece of work. your production is tight and its quite enjoyable. i just simply think it can be better

I have a feeling that the fact you didn't enjoy the energetic parts is something I would be unable to fix. I personally think that it would harm the momentum I had going in this if I had dragged out the chill parts. If it were anything else I probably would've let the chill part go on for a bit longer but I just felt that it wouldn't suit this song in particular.

Nothing against your opinion though, I'm glad you liked my production as it has been my focus for the past year or two. I'll have to work on composition some time in the future it seems :).

The harmonic colors you have here is wonderful be it be the chords you used or the synths/instrumental you used it is stellar makes me feel like im falling in slow motion. the mix is great and the mastering is good. maybe a little more bass just to make it a little less flat but the overall production is well done.. so uhh cheers!

Now as for composition its not bad but i feel like there is so much more you can do to this like maybe a really cool synth adlib. cos at times it feels like some section of the song is nothing but a chord progression. its asking for more melodic lines! doens't have to be well formed. you can adlib the shit out of this song hehe and the ending couldve been better but it works

overall its a lovely piece. there is this prog/space rock vibe to it. its just that you can do so much more to this piece. nice work

Every time someone complements my mastering, I think back to the five minutes I spend on each song doing a quick EQ/compression job, and I get confused. I never think I'm doing it right, but whatever, it's not the most important part anyway!

All the bass comes from the main pad, so it sounds wonky sometimes. Didn't know how it would turn out. Thanks for letting me know.

This kind of song really does beg for a solo/adlib section, doesn't it? Maybe that's what it's missing. Noted!
